First of all, for those that do not know
what a domain name is, let's explain.
A domain name is the name associated with your website, for example
www.yourname.com or even www.jestersmask.com.
Use the 'Domain Name Search Utility' to search and see if your
chosen domain name is available.
If you have found a name that you would like to register then contact
us straight away to get the domain name registered.
All domain registrations are carried out on your behalf and are registered
in your name.
If the 'domain extension' you require is not listed above, then please
contact
us straight away, it may still be possible for us to register your
domain name with your chosen extension.
Help with domain names
When choosing a domain name each individual gets the chance to choose
the 'domain name' part of the name (for example, the 'yourname'
and 'jestersmask' parts as per the examples
above). For the most part the 'Top Level Domain' or 'domain extension'
can also be selected, that is, the .com, .org, .co.uk, .net parts of
the name. There are many other extensions to choose from.
When choosing the domain name there are a few guidlines to consider,
these are
Don't put "www." in front of the domain. "www."
is a host name, not a domain name. You should not use "www"
anywhere unless it part of the actual domain name you are looking
for.
Legal characters are 0-9, a-z and "-". Underscores (_)
and spaces are not permitted in domains.
Name lengths are between 2 characters and 57 characters.

Each and every computer that is connected to the Internet has a unique
address to help identify it. These addresses are in the form of a string
of numbers in this form, 223.243.253.252. As you will agree, these are
not very easy to remember.
Domain names resolves the need to remember these strings of numbers
and act as a 'front' for the numeric string. It will be this name that
users input in to their browser's address bar when they want to visit
your website.
